I find K band in South Carolina and Georgia. As for the filter Bel suggested on the power, it is common and worth a shot. It is easy to get interference from power and ground lines. Most people hear it when they are putting in amps and speakers. I run a hardwired 9500ix next to my mirror (power from sunroof area, grounded in sunfroof area) and then Laser Interceptors (wired in passenger foot well outlet) no filters.
