Thumbs up

Those of you with ACC, what is your opinion on how well active cruise control functions on the E60?

I am looking for current information, specifically from ACC owners.

Kevin. There is current info in there. I posted 2x today and so did Rudy and Iceman. That is a HOT TOPIC link and it is current. Nothing has changed with the active cruise since 2 hours ago when the last post was made.

Or maybe it has...

More seriously, nothing has changed even back when that other topic was started...

Kevin, also I don't want you to think we are being rude and just saying search the forums, it is just that it is an active topic and the last few posts are only hours old. It just makes it difficult if there are too active posts about the same thing because people will have to ppost in both or decide which to post into. Then everyone doesn't get all of the latest info.

I think the ACC works extremely well.
I love it, and don't ever want another car without it.

The only thing about it is.... other people tend to cut you off more often because when you use it at the closest follow-distance setting... it still leaves lots of room for people to turn in front of you. When they cut in front of you, your car slows down to make more distance, and then the person behind you gets mad and turns to pass you.... and the process repeats over and over.

But if you're on a relatively uncrowded road, it is nice.

So you're going backwards while everyone else is going forwards...

It's nice to know it works well on uncrowded highways (which was always my assumption) so now, all they need to do to make it worthwhile is add a feature that disables it and makes it like a normal cruise control for those times when you would like to use it that way...
