Did anyone get the 16.2 CIP on a CCC car and then "Acoustic Confirm on Lock" was disabled, regardless of vehicle settings?
I still have the flash on lock/ unlock but no beep.

My Ride: E60
Mine was beep on 13.2 and it still beeps on 16.2. Like it's been posted above, it's an iDrive setting.
I can configure a visual conformation only, no audible one.
I believe its a US thing. Our UK E60s don't have that audible feature even though the alarm system is standard
Something the US cars have and we don't
I seem to recall it was a change in the law a few years back that introduced this here in the UK. There were loads of complaints about car alarms going off all the time for hours on end and so I think the law was changed so that car alarms had to reset after n seconds and as part of this change in the law I seem to remember something about the acoustic confirmation of alarms being enabled and disabled was prohibited as well.
Mind you I could have got it all totally wrong though
