Access to SIBs on BMWTIS
I found that you can access many bulletins on the bmwtis if you know the bulletin ID:
"http://www.bmwtis.com/tsb/bulletins/bulletin_graphic_temp/B<bulletin id>g.htm"
for example for SI B63 02 04
use:
http://www.bmwtis.com/tsb/bulletins/bullet...mp/B630204g.htm
Seems that BMWTIS isn't very well secured, if you know the URL, you don't need to be authenticated.
If you know the name of the PDF bulletins you can also find it in:
as in:
http://www.bmwtis.com/tsb/attachments/Sale...letin04-034.pdf
Wonder how long before they close this up.
Thanks,
Dave

BMW goodwill assistance
This is an interesting SIB on BMW centers providing special goodwill treatment. I'd save this one to refer to in case of serious issues with our cars in the future.
Thanks,
Dave

ELIGIBILITY:
When determining the customer's eligibility for goodwill participation, several factors are important including the cost of the repair, how long ago the warranty expired, has the vehicle been fully maintained, is this a multi-BMW owner, condition of the vehicle, has the customer endured unusual hardship, and will investing in the customer benefit the BMW brand etc.
Will investing in the customer benefit the BMW brand?
You would think that keeping the customer happy would be enough.

Maybe we can decode the naming convention so it'd be easier to guess the numbers of the bulletins??

If someone knows, please post it, and we'll do quick download before they put the lock on their entire site.
Anyone with a TIS subscription can figure out the pattern. The first number is the subsystem (i.e. electrical, body, engine), the second number I don't remember exactly, may be just sequence or subsystem and I believe the last number is year of publishing. If you can actually logon to TIS (or have a CD), you can figure it out from there ( I remember seeing it when I bought a one day subscription not too long ago )
Thanks,
Dave
