Hello all,

My acc idler pulley definitely needs to be replaced but what happens when it is completely gone? On my 325i (I have a 545i too) I try to start it and it makes a loud noise and won't start. Has anyone had this issue before? What is the acc idler pulley purpose besides the obvious?

Well I don't need to know what symptons now because I know them. My ACC idler pulley is now grooved in the plastic box in front of it. Now I need to figure out what that box is and what might be destroyed.
