I've seen and heard battery issues can cause funky iDrive and lights flashing on the dash. However, I've never actually heard of it doing something actually physical to the car such as bogging the car down when accelerating. I'm going with the previous post that the brake job was not done properly. BTW, what year is your car and how old is the battery?

I went ahead and bought the Duralast 95R so I will be installing that tomorrow. The car is an 07 but I have had it since the summer of 06 so its been 6 years and that was my original battery. Any ideas on why the brakes would just get stuck to the rotor like that?

They said that some water might have gotten into the system so they checked the fluid and changed it. The pedal feels a lot firmer now.

UPDATE: So 2 days later the same thing happened again. Took it to the shop today and the foreman said that its the ABS module that failing and causing the brakes to apply without any manual input. Weird lol

No I did not have this issue before I replaced the brakes. I got it installed at a local independent mechanic, who himself works on m3's and has a BMW himself. They only believed me once they took it for a drive and it happened to them and they had to tow it back to the shop. I trust the shop so it isn't something i am worried about.

I found this on the internet:
Application: Vehicles equipped with ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) sensor rings located on the outer drive axle joint. Intermittent ABS failure or trouble codes. Rust can develop between the axle and the ABS speed sensor ring. The rust acts like a wedge and causes the ring to crack, creating a false or erratic signal which results in intermittent ABS operation. Closely inspect the sensor ring for cracks or damage to the teeth. If any defects are found, replace the sensor ring or C.V. drive axle

Car is still in the shop ![Frown](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/sad.gif)
They are still trying to diagnose the problem and figure out what exactly is wrong without just replacing everything.

Apparently there was some oil contamination in the master cylider causing the rubber in the brake system to deteriote. So all 4 calipers, master cylinder, and the brake hoses all need to be replaced. With labor, the cost is $1600
Fuckkkkkkk
