Check if the car has HUD, i think you need a special windshield if it has this option, other than that +1 to all the stuff the other guys have said.
good luck and welcome.

It does not have HUD. It has 36,000 miles on it, it is a sport. It has a clean car fax report. I think in my state (FL) your insurance will replce a cracked windshield for free.

some things to note when purchasing a 545 or an o4 bmw.
make sure it's built 05/04 or later. this will allow you to upgrade to bluetooth handsfree in the future if it already doesn't have it.
ask for the latest software updates.
also ask for the latest update to the transmission. if it lags to shift up, then you need an update to smooth that out.

I found my 545 after searching a lot of cars. To me the deal was done when I found a car that "felt" right. Stay with me here, I drove a number of vehicles, came back and read everything I could on this website, which is full of good information, and then made up my mind that it felt fast enough, comfortable enough and handled/drove well. I looked at the 7-series, which felt huge, a 3-series, too small, and a few other brands as well(A6, IS350, LS and GS). It has more power than most people think, and I always like a somewhat of a "sleeper" for my DD. As a point of reference I traded in my S55 AMG.
