My Ride: 2006 525XI, Jet black on Dakota beige. Premium and winter packages. I consider myself a purist and intend to keep my car absolutely stock and shiny. 2008 328I Convertible, Sapphire black on beige interior. Premium package, NAV, iPod adapter. Retired: 2002 325I, Titanium silver on black leather. Premium package. Absolutely stock and proud of it.

No factory warranty. I got a Mercury platinum policy, but brakes most likely wont be covered.
In that case, steer clear of the dealer and go to a good independent shop. I heard that 4 brakes and rotors can run as high as $1600 on our cars (at the dealer).

thnx everyone for the replys.

Ya the Indy shop i took the car to said my pads still dont need replacing. I might just "deal with it" until I do need to change my pads and then get the new sensors installed. However after reading some of the "bedding" threads I tried heating up my brakes by doing some hard braking and I think it does help a little. Im just worried that the sensors will ruin my discs from the rubbing.

The sensors won't ruin the disks. The noise is from the dust build up on them. Mine started squeaking about 10k miles ago and BMW cleaned them which stopped the noise for a short while but it came back again. I just left it and a couple of thousand miles later they stopped making the noise anyway. They told me the next time the pads are replaced the updated sensors will be fitted which don't have the noise/dust build up issues issues.
