Default About 90k mile maintenance

My 535i has about 94k miles already. Last time I was in a indy shop, the guys told me that the 90k mile maintenance is kinda critical, I should get it done asap.

It was easy for him to pull out the article and show me what is included in the maintenance. Right now, I finally decide to get that maintenance done, and I couldn't find detailed check list of that maintenance. How can I get the right source?

I remember seeing that for 90k miles maintenance, I need to replace all the front, rear coil spring and wheel support bearings. Is this correct?

I figured that, the cheapest way to do the 90k mile maintenance is to buy all the OEM parts myself, and ask the mechanic to install them. How did you guys get it done, in a cost-efficient way?

Thanks!!!!

If you have a friend with a shop they can normally get parts using their commercial discount .

Never heard anyone suggest replacing springs unless broken. Here's a summary of

Mike Miller’s Old School Maintenance Schedule for the E60:

Brake fluid : Every 1-2 years
Engine coolant : Every 2 years (50/50 mix of BMW anti-freeze + distilled water)
Engine oil/filter : Every 7,500 miles (Castrol TWS Motorsport 10W-60)
Engine air filter : Inspect every 15,000 miles, replace every 15,000-30,000 miles
Cabin air filter : Inspect every 15,000 miles, replace every 15,000-30,000 miles
Power steering fluid : Every 30,000 miles (Pentosin CHF 11.S)
Transmission oil : Every 30,000 miles (MTF-LT-2 or Red Line MTL)
Differential oil : Every 30,000 miles (Castrol SAF-XJ or Red Line 75W-140)
Valve adjustment : Every 30,000-60,000 miles
Spark plugs : Every 30,000-60,000 miles
Fuel filter : Every 60,000 miles
Engine drive belts : Every 60,000 miles
O2 sensors : 150k miles (or just wait for it to trip a CEL)
Water/fuel hoses : 150k miles

I thought those two don't require change i.e. lifetime ...?

That is BMW's official line. With respect to auto transmission fluid Bavarian Otto sides with Miller:

BTW It isn't cheap to change the auto transmission fluid, and because of the amount in the torque converter which won't drain back, best you can do is about 80% renewal. But replacement of the pan filter is part of the procedure, and that is a big benefit in my view.

Since you have 535i (Electric water pump):
Water Pump and Thermostat along w/ coolant flush

Then:
Spark Plugs (should've been changed every 50K for 3.0 turbo)
Transmission and diff oils.
Fluid flush
Brake Flush
Filters , etc like listed above

Springs and wheel bearings don't need replacement until obvious problem/noise shows up

For cooling, get OEM parts unless you know aftermarket replacement is an "upgrade"
Filters, etc. MANN, Hengst, or german aftermarkets are as good as OEM.
P/S Fluid, you can use Febi CHF fluid (cheaper than Pentosin) but probably easier to find Pentosin at local Napa Stores.

Thanks!!

I have already replaced water pump and thermostat, got all the filters.
Brake flush did year ago.

I believe that the coolant is quite old, but last week I checked, it seems still clean. Do I need to replace the whole tank of coolant?

When I get in the car and sit, it feels a bit lower than two years ago, does this indicate I should replace the springs and wheel bearings?
