Checked the OBC on arrival home and was pleased to see a average fuel consumption of 50.4mpg, pretty pleased myself
A number of posts on here have raised concerns about the fuel economy on the 520, so nice to hear that you can get the kind of mpg I was expecting.

Over 50 mpg is definately impressive. If i take my time (sub 80 mph etc) i can get over 40 on a run. Unfortunately i seem to get about 34mpg
Diesel torque certainly makes for a more relaxed drive. My experiences in 3 litre petrol BMW's have been fun, but certainly not as civilised...
