Had fun with a 760Li on the way to work this morning. Driving 90+ as usual on the way to work and passed a 760Li that decided he did not like being passed. We had some fun without being able to open them up. My 6 speed manual had an apparent advantage with gear selection in traffic, but I suspect on an open road he would have given me a good run for my money if not have left me standing there. Doesn't the V12 produce about 469 HP or something?

It was a good adrenalin rush.

I'm sure it was.

The E60 is (with the V8) a sports car but the E65 is limo!

The V12 gives 445 hp and 600 Nm.
But 760iAL weighs a lot more than a E60.

Acceleration 0 - 62 mph for both the 760iAL and the 550iA: 5,6 sec.

It's not decide by the car anymore. It's decide by the driver who is willing to hit the top speed.

0-60 wouldn't be helpful here...a 0-120+ would be though. Both taking off at 80mph full throttle I wouldn't be suprised if the V12 pulled with 80 more hp since weight is not as big of a factor once it's moving.

He had to get in the right hand lane for his turn off. I beat him to that point.

He tried like hell to overtake me in several places where traffic slowed in both lanes, but I did not let him. Much of the drive was with me in third gear able to hold my lane and not allow him to overtake me. I was LMAO, because he was just cruising until I passed him and after than I noticed him weaving in and out of traffic very aggressively trying like hell to overtake me. I just punched it. At no point did he appear to have an advantage on me. I would be slowed by traffic ahead but was able to change lanes and continue with the lead. He got ahead at one point at a red light but he made a poor choice of lanes and was left behind. I looked over a couple of times to wave and give a thumbs up but the guy never would look over. Kinda weird. I assume the guy was pissed or just a jerk. I had to keep the gap narrow with the car in front of me because I could tell by the way he was weaving that he would cut me off if I gave him the chance. I refused to let that happen.

In reality its all about who gets their foot down first. If you both started at exactly the same time it would probably be a couple of car lengths either way.
