550i Sport - more questions
I am still looking over the ordering options for a 2010 550i Sport.
1) Is the anthracite(black)headline going to be standard in the sport package or is it a special order item? I don't see it online or in the 2009 brochure.
2) Ventilated front seats are listed as an option as well. I also didn't see these on the BMW website for '09
3) What is Nasca leather? Similar to 7 series?
4) Some options are listed under a "priority" heading. What does this mean?
Thanks in advance.

Hey DocBob,
I am speaking about the 2008 options, not sure if it has changed in 2009:
1) In 2008 the Anthracite Headliner was a $500 option on my 550i sport.
2) Ventilated front seats are an option but only available with the Nasca leather because it is a harder-wearing leather.
I can't give any more input on your questions. I have never sat in or touched Nasca leather. I am not sure what 'priority' heading means either when referring to options.
Good luck

When looking for my 2008, I considered the ventilated seats and anthracite headliner. Both were "priority one" options at the time. That means they were un-documented special order items (and darn expensive for the ventilated option). My sales lady even had to go to the "order" person to learn about them but I knew about the priorty one opts from e60.net (I think). I did sit in one 550i with all the priority 1 options plus everything else in the book. The antracite headliner looked good with a black interior. The Nasca leather was a bit nicer than Dakota but not necessary. The ventilated feature would be nice in the south but the car stickered at $81,000!!!! That was $9k more than the 550i I ended up with, which is plenty nicely equipped itself.
Really take a close look at your opitions as many of them are big $$$$$$$$$$ and you'll never get the money out of them. Like the other poster said you could go up to over 80K yet most very well equiped 550's are upper 60's to about 71K or so for a list price. You get up to 80K area your into a 6 series, M6, or M5 at that point (new 08's still on on the lot). Buying an opition out 80K 550i you'd take like a 20K-25K hit driving off the lot.
If money is no concern to you then by all means get exactly what you want.
P.S.: Typical 550 buyer is looking for a sport package, nav., and upgraded stereo. Few other opitions but there usually on a car with those three opitions.
