A while back I reported on taking the 550i to a Porsche club driving school at Virginia International Raceway. I can't find the post and link it but in short the car did really well. I ordered a picture CD from Sideline Sports Photography and the CD finally arrived. They got some great shots of the car in action.

That looks like a lot of fun! The second picture looked great with all those Porsches chasing you! And the second to last photo was also a good one as you took the checkered flag!!

Thanks for sharing the pics -- looks like a great event.
Maybe obvious questions to those familiar with track-days, however whats with
1) The open windows? (- your co-driver ate too much garlic the day before?!)
2) The tape over the front fog lights? (-protecting them from...??)

I tape the fog lights since I heard track debri can easily damage them. Some cover the entire front of the car.
The CD was a pricey $80 but has over 120 pictures. The folks used top notch equipment. I saw a Nikon D2X and a 500 f4 lens, a $10,000 setup.
