Hello all -

Just wanted to note (in case nobody had yet) that the 550 I took delivery of last week did NOT come with Dunlops. Rather, it came with Bridgestone Potenzas ("RE 050A" make any sense?).

They make for an excellent ride, and are very quiet (so far so good!).

Have a great night...

Mike

Here in europe a lot of E60 come with potenza tires.
Mine were good to use around for 45.000 kms.... but they give a hard drive!!!!

I've had exactly the opposite experience. One year driving a 530d equipped with Dunlop RFT, 245/45-18, without any problem. The new car is equipped with Bridgestone Potenza and they are bloody stiff, with a harsh drive, a lot of vibrations on poorly paved roads and bad feeling on wet surface. For me, so far sooo bad!

I wonder if the different experiences are due to the tire pressures. I have Potenzas and they are very harsh when pumped up and more tolerable when I let a little air out. Currently I have them at 2.0 and 2.4 as recommended on the B pillar (not sure what that is in PSI)
