Had a 5 +- hr road trip today in my 06' 550. Was getting 24 mpg for about 30 minutes until I caught up with a prior model 750 Li and a Dodge 5.7 pickup truck. the remaining trip up was until I got off at my exit. I was picking up my mother for a few days, so the return ride was rather dull. I ended up with 22.6 MPG. This was 96% highway driving.

FYI - Photo taken within speed limit.

I just returned from trip to tennesee (to Chicago). My 535i average speed almost 76 mph and 26.4 mpg. I was doing 90 most of the trip, so mpg could have been better...

Damn, those 535's get good MPG. I think my reading said I averaged 77 mph. What's nice is I still have more than a 1/4 tank of gas left. For a V8 that's not bad. LMAO - apparently I can make it out of Florida on one tank - lol

That is amazing!!! I have never been able to achieve that in my 550...but i have
increased my MPG by almost +2 since installing my sprint booster! YEAH and I have
a HEAVY foot!!! It adds up quick when using gas at $3.40 per gal.

With my mods I'm surprised I haven't lost MPG. Luckily, my 93 octane is only $3.03 at the moment.

I hate I didn't buy a 550i because I was offered a great deal prior to buying a 530i and the reason why I didn't buy it was the concern about gas mileage and the car's gas mileage isn't bad at all.
