After a 3200 km drive on the German autobahn I?m still very impressed by my 545. It?s just a terrific and wonderful car to drive. The topspeed limiter kicks in at 256 km/h ( once or twice even 258 km/h ). Fells like there are an extra 15 km/h in there!

I missed the moving Map feature of the Prof Nav very much on this trip.
Still waiting for the retrofit - 3 months now
Fuel consumption at full throttle = 26.4 l / 100 km ( ~ 11 mpg ).

cidair,
I notice your HUD displays everything in km, not miles. Our car is fully loaded with pro NAV;however, everything in our car reflects miles to include the HUD. How did you change those settings? Secondly, one of the best autobahn to test the car without traffic is autobahn #63 from Wiesbaden to K-town.
The wife has just reached 1000 miles on the car and has only driven 130 mph due to bad traffic on autobahn 3 and 6. Hopefully, next month I will get a chance to really test the car on 63. Several years ago I had a 911 turbo that i really loved driving on 63 at speeds above 280 kms (german spec).
The wife told me she heard a little noises coming from the comfort seats at 130 mph.
Did you hear any sounds from the comforts seats with your radio turned off at 256 km?

I started to get some squeking noises from the drivers side door. Nothing from the comf seats.
The 8.8" screnn / Prof. Nav costs appr. 900 USD to retrofit in Sweden.

The 250 Km/h (speedometer) are very easy to reach in this kind of cars.
I usually reach it in a 730d E65. Several times side by side with other cars (M3) and other 250 km/h machines.
The thing is that if you want a little more, it's very easy in Germany (and not much expensive) to take out the speed limiter of 250 km/h.
Believe me, you will reach 265 Km/h....
I tried once a E39 M5 with and without the speed limiter.
Before the change it will go to 255/260 after the remove 290/295 in the speedometer.
The same with M3, 525d, 530d, .....
Enjoy it.
