545i vs 335i video
#11
FWIW, I am a 2006 manual 330i owner. I raced my neighbor in his 2004 STEP 545i. It was dead even from 0-80. After 80 he pulled away. The 335i would win fairly easily against a STEP 545i especially going from 0 to 60.

FWIW, there are a few threads in other forums about 335i cars staying even with M3s. Man are those M3 owners pissed...

That sounds about right. The V8 shines as the speed increases into triple digits.

Can you try and do a 60 mph rolling launch against the 335? Start in second gear and take it up to whatever you guys decide.

seems to be that the 545 driver wasnt concentrating at all.. cam in his hand,, you can hear the start of the race the 3 beeps, about a second of waiting then you can hear the v8 reving, his reaction was too slow by the time he locked up the 335 pulled away good... even if it was a steptronic, that doesnt seem to ME to be the proper out come...

we did a few runs from 50-100, 60-100+.. basically dead even all the way up. and as for 0-60 i still cant get my brother to launch it right so hard to tell. camera man missed all 3 runs but we still had fun.
