Hi guys!
Anyone has tried the max speed with his manual/smg 545i ?
The damn long 6th gear (194 MPH) perhaps could limitate the speed ?
I'm interested in speed by GPS .
Thank you!

The SMG gearbox is the same as the old-fashioned manual so it's likely that the top speeds are the same or very similar...
Ehm ... WHICH is the max speed for manual/smg 545i ?
My 545i is still limited @250 kmh ...
Someone has tried to push the gas to the max?

IMHO I doubt it's a limiting factor.
The "quick reckoning" formula including only air resistance gives a max speed of 278 kph / 173 mph for a 328 bhp engine.

That could be a problem if the engine power at shift point (5th -> 6th) is below the critical level needed to keep the car going. Tricky to work out without a power curve or a torque curve... if you can point me at one, I'll work it out for you.

The 5th reaches 169 MPH, 6th 194 .
Has nobody tried ?
Germans, where are you ?

Thus my 545i does 194 MPH, sure!
A brain for Cobra, please!

i highly doubt these speeds due to air resistance and friction. It will not be that high. For sure
