I really wish I could drive a SMG545i, there are none to be found at dealers it seems

Just curious on the tire smoke thing it would make it even more fun
Anyone here from New York City Area?

Don't get me started. SMG will smoke the tire (s?) with DSC and DTC off. Once you see some tire wear my experience has been it'll only light up One of the rears. Once the tires are pretty worn (like mine are now) it'll lose traction quite easilly with just a good stap of the go pedal (and DTC off of course). Again, only the passenger's rear (unless taking a hard left which in-turn will take weight off of the inside tire allowing it to spin - there is no limited slip rear diff on the 545.).

It's been a lot of fun over the past week now that I know that once my snow tires go on, these are not coming back on. With new tires, you will most likely need to use Accelleration Assist unless you are on a surface with not too much traction.
That is what I find to be the only real drawback to SMG - the fact that you can't really controll the cluch engagement point. But all of the other benefits of SMG more than make up for it. (I just wish it had a limited slip )

Welcom to the forum, BTW.

No LSD. I just assumed that a car of this price/quality would come standard with LSD.

I'm too used to Porsche and Audi (quattro).

Oh well. At least it's rear wheel drive. It could be worse.
