Hi everyone, my first post here!

I have a few questions, if anyone can answer to some, thanks!

1) the snap in phone (i have the nokia 6310 cardle) is connected to the car via lbluetooth or cable?

2) when I oversteer the active steering does all the job... safe but no fun, can I deactivate it?

3) I asked CIP update and now the engine reactions changed... how can it be?

4) is there a way to know the software version of the navi software and maps? I had the original 2007 2 of my farther replacing my 2004. I got an iso copy of it and insterted the copy of the 2007-2. It started a software update (please deactivate system for 5 minutes etc etc). Strange is that with the original 2007 i used for a day no software uopdate started!

THANKS!

Welcome to the forum.

1) I assume you have had to pair your phone with your car. It's bluetooth, even when in the cradle.

2) Nope.

3) It could be one of two things. a) The ECU has been overwritten with BMWs latest mapping. b) Driver perception.

4) The Navi Software is part of 3). The Navi data on is DVD. Don't worry about the "5 minute reset". It has happened every time I have updated my nav DVD. As for why it didn't happen once - that' ranges from User Error to a mystery. Let's leave it at a mystery!

Sounds so crazy! What's the speacker key over the cardle used for?

I drove the car for weeks before update and I was not expecting any change. I cannot say it is better or not than before but sure it is different, more "round" even I still prefer the straight six. My father drove the car and didn't know about the update and had tha same impression.

It sound impossible that the navi, clima sw are in the same sw update pack than the ECU, isn't it?

I couln't do any mistake. Just fitted the dvd in. The first time used without update. If the NAVI is update with CIP what is updated via DVD so?

Thanks, A LOT.

\Ale

Can't turn it off, but remember, AS can only save you in a small slide. If you rotate at a high enough angle, you have to correct it yourself too.

Do you mean that if I turn the angle of the steering more than x deg the AS does not activate?

What are u talking about here ?

Well, its not just about the angle of the steering wheel, its the angle of your car's drift. If your rear tires break loose and your car is rotating to say, 45 degrees through a turn, AS will try to correct it but it can't handle an angle that great. In this situation, you'll have to correct the slide yourself and not just rely on AS's correction. In an extreme case, like if you're gonna spin out, AS might correct it 25%, but you must apply the remaining 75% steering wheel correction.
These aren't the exact #'s, but you get my point....basically AS can correct small slides, but you have to handle the big slides.

Resonators restrict noise and airflow in the exhaust system. They are between the cats and muffler. I took them out and replaced them with straight pipes to make my exhaust sound better.
