Mine two cents: option 1 for sure...

I had experience with selling a car with swapped engines. Resale price is not effected in either way. Guy who was buying mine car asked for:
1 receipts of engine and all other parts that were involved with engine swap
2 receipt and phone number of the shop/mechanic who performed the swap

 

Does anyone know what the deal is with this? I just purchased this car without knowing about the engine issue. Was the engine ever replaced? I really hope I didn't get on the wrong side of this deal and buy this car without the repair done. Was the engine good that replaced it when it went bad?

Any info would be much appreciated. the car is currently on a truck on the way to my house.

Well, anyway I have my answer.. the car arrived and everything is good. It runs very smooth. Stressful situation over. Spending the next few days cleaning her up, but so far with one night of TLC she's a million times better.
