Does anybody have any thoughts on the Dinan Stage 1 or ESS software for the 545i? I have a 2005 545i Sport A/T and I am little bored and was considering buying the software. The rest of the car is stock, might get a RPi exhaust. The Dinan is a litte more interesting as there is a local Dinan shop so I do not need to pull the ECU. The horsepower increase is very minimal so I was wondering if response is better and if the overall performance feels improved on either of these softwares. Would be great if anybody with the software can provide their feedback. Thanks.

I have the Dinan software as part of my package, technically it's their "stage 3" software, but that's just to tweak it for the intake upgrades. The most apparent change you'll feel is a dramatic improvement in drivability and throttle response. You won't feel anything in the power department unless you enjoy bouncing your car off the rev limiter (which would be increased by a couple hundred rpm). I can't comment on either the ESS or how the Dinan software would feel in conjunction with the automatic.
