545i blue smoke from exhaust
Hello
so, last year my 545i had all engine oil gastkets replaced (mad cost), oil usage is 1l/3.5-4.5k kms, which I think is normal. In feb, the car went to the garage (indy) with a gearbox failure, that was fixed but with the covid lockdown, I picked up the car only end of june (is like a third car in the family). Since then I drove short distances for maximum of 150 kilometers and since a few days I have blue smoke from the exhaust. Not on starting up when cold, but when I let the car idle for a while, then it's really visible. When driving on the motorway, I don't see smoke, so or it's a little or none (yet). I read all about valve stem gaskets and I hope it's not this. I also read something about clogged pressure valves (??) but I'm unsure how to diagnose it.
Any pointers would be much appreciated. Thx

That's a fist. What engine do you have. More than likely the engine has been at high revs before it warmed up if it's the valve stems.

Check the breather diaphrams aren't split first, this is an easy check. Failing that you may be into valve stem seals. If it clears once you start to drive for a bit it's more likely to be valve stem seals
