Im convinced not to do a ton of preventative maintenance like past bmw's thanks to a friend of mine who just traded in his 04 545i 6 speed with over 180k on it. It was in amazing shape. Nothing but idrive maintenance with no major repairs. Hopefully Ill have the same luck.
