Check out the TSBs that some members have attached.? They tell a story of faulty oem parts for those manufactured, I believe, from Aug to Nov 2004.? Just too bad, isn't it?? We're caught between the devil and the deep blue sea.? Their procurement dept should have been much more careful.

I remember reading the TSB, and yes, my car was built in 9/04 and it does have the oscillations, but only for less than a minute when first started. It does not happen every time I start and when it does it does not bother me. If it is something that will not get worse with time and/or cause other problems then I would not want them to touch the engine. As it is right now the problem is very minor, infrequent, and does not bother me in the least.

Thanks for the bulletin.
Another problem I have noticed is that when I am in Manual mode, if my car is at 2000 rpm, and I press the accelerator moderately, the fuel consumption gauge swings all the way to the left, but the rpms stay at 2000, ie, the engine is consuming gas but not increasing power. I have to really press on the accelerator to get it moving.
This is very annoying, because I rely on the Tach. in manual mode to let me know when to shift.
Is this related to the same problem?

P.S.
I meant the fuel consumption gauge swings all the way to the right, not the left...

I have noticed the same problem with my ride but it is intermittent and seems to occur more when its really hot (>105).
