My 2005 545 has leather sport seats and logic 7, 4 doors and a spacious trunk, it is titanium silver with black interior.
I like it very much, I have done up to 130mph in Florida highways and even higher in german autobahn, Ibelieve is a great car.
I am moving to a 2008 550 sport, do you believe I will feel a significant difference?

The 550 has the same or a little more power than the old car, but the main difference is in the ride handling and comfort. It has comfort seats which adjust to conform exactly to your back, so that you actually can have leather touching your back below the neck. Very smooth tires and a re-tuned sport suspension. Needless to say it now corners far better than the old car, which cornered great. The LCI interior is also much nicer. I love it more.

My Ride: 2005 545, nav, sport, PP, cold weather
you'll get a little quicker kick in the pants on start up. there a little bit more low end torque and it starts sooner. but you will see a marked decrease in mpg. my 05 545 got 28 on the road and my 650 is luck to get 24.5 on the same trip.

Seriously, Casper, I'm about to be in the same boat - my lease us up at the end of the year. I've had some issues with my '05 545, and I'm wondering if the '08 550 is really much of an improvement. If, as some have suggested, it drives more like my old e39 540i, then I think it may be worth it. And with a little more power, to boot.
Haven't seen one at my local dealer yet to test out.
