I voted YES. One time for me so far. In the shop now for numerous issues, steering wheel clunk, creaky doors, iDrive idiosyncracies, etc.

I dont know why anyone would???? The bad thing for me is, I never had it before 16.2 and I had only had it happen once before T-O-D-A-Y.

I had it happen again today on my way home. Both times it has happened is when coming to a "rolling" stop. I slow down to stop, but dont stop completely and when I re-accelerate.....BAM!!!! I feel like I get rear ended. I have had several annoying things with this vehicle, but this is the first one that has REALLY frustrated me, because it feels like you have been rear ended.

Maybe this a good time to pitch? the 6sp-manual ? to you all. I never had this problem?

On a serious note, this would scared me away from getting an automatic until I heard it was resolved.

Funny that you guys are talking about this.

I have a 525 e60 for about 1.5 years. I thought the slam problem was only with my car. It feels as if some one hit you from the rear?

I started to feel that since my car was like 1 month old. I got used to it.

But to be honest, every now and then when I stop in a light i had to look back..it always feel as if some one is hitting my behind.

I thought it was a free feature in our car! ..how naive really i thought it was some extra feature they gave !

I have 16.2
The car slammed once when somebody else was driving.
Rolling stop, sudden acceleration, SLAM!
It's not subtle.
Has never happened when I was driving, even in similar situations.
Maybe it's partly a driving style issue?
