Hi all

Got a 545 which seems a bit sluggish the first time i start it each morning, once engine is up to optimal temp then its fine.

just noticed that in the mornings the 1st/2nd gears seem to be very unresponsive.

Is this normal or should i get dealer to inspect

cheerS?

if it's really cold, then i would just assume to let your car warm up a little longer.

if your tranny feels like it's lagging to shift in 1st and 2nd then i would take it to the dealer and get it reprogrammed. it's the best thing i've done to my 2004 545. when i first got it, i couldn't deal with the stop and go traffic because the way the gears were shifting, but now it's smooth as butter.

I have a problem where it's what you call sluggish but only from a full stop. It does not always take off smoothly in a slow excelleration but it fine if you give it plenty of gas. They told me it was electronically controlled and was normal. Not sure I buy it but I'll see if it gets worse before I bring it back for another checkup.
