The post below from the guy in Morocco made me wonder what e60 enthusiasts on this side of the pond think about the 7 vs the V8 5. My take is that if you go with the 750 you have to give up the sportier look, amazing feel and road feedback of the 5 for the luxury and practicality of the 7. Still the 750 with the subtle facelift, dumbed down IDrive and the extra ponies must be pretty sweet.

Depends on how much performance you want. The 750 will give you performance equal to todays 545 with more luxury, size and cost. The 550 will give you performance equal to the E39 M5 which is just stupendous. It just depends on how important performance is vs luxury and size. Personally, I would go with the 550, even if cost were the same.

 

The only thing why one should maybe delay buying a 7 is that it entered the second half of its life. Besides from that, the 750 would be a no brainer.

I dont know why but the facelifted e65 looks more like a bigger e39 specially the front part!
