535i turbo?

i read a thread about this but nobody seemed to know for sure. my ? is do i need a turbo timer or to sit in my car to let the turbo oil cool down or are these cars ok to drive the piss out of and just stop the car and get out? when i bought the car nobody at the dealer said anything about this. thanks in advance

If the turbos are hot, they continue to circulate coolant until they reach an acceptable temp. It does this automatically.

he is saying something different, turbo timer is to keep the engine running for a preset time. I think he said the water pump (probably electrical) is keep running after the engine shutdown.

Correct, the engine doesn't idle like a turbo timer would do, it just circulates the coolant. I think I read this in a review in a car magazine.

The electronics take care of this, as of many other things in a E60.

But use common (turbo) sence. If you have been on a long trip or really giving it...

i dont get why you say i should use turbo common sence if the car runs coolent to cool it down.i didnt mean turbo timer i meant its like a turbo timer in the way that it will cool it down for me without worrying about it.
