Default 535i front subframe and m6 front subframe e60

So the sub frame managed to rip right by the sway bar and I need a new one... I've got someone that has a m6 subframe and says its a direct fit on the 535i. his m6 was an 07 and my 5 is a 08. Anyone have any experience on this subject? would it really fit my car ?

First picture is of the 535i subframe per manual, second is of the m5 with s85 engine. I think it'll work.

Conculsion:

Every e60 has the same front subframe, not sure why the m5/m6 have a different part number, it might just be stiffer...which I like. I'll report back when I install.

Sounds like a big job. Couldn't it have been welded instead?

Entire front subframe is aluminum. No shop in its right mind would want to repair that and assume the potential liability if it failed.
