hey guys, just curious..once the 535i engine are easily available, how hard do you think it would be to put a 535i engine and tranny in a e60 530i?

do you think you just need a TCM and ECU?

...dont know about how difficult it would be but I do think that it would be cheaper just to trade the 530i in and buy the 535i...but to each his own! good luck! sorry i wasnt much help lol

haha yeah, trading is probably less expensive, unless you have your own shop. Not like I haven't thought of it though

Well considering the cost of the engine, labor, etc... I think it would be cheaper and easier just to trade in your 530 for a 535.

And why would you want all the Issues with the N54?

Go get a used 550i or M5

You could probably get a wrecked 335 or 535 and buy the tranny and engine, just make sure you get their tcu's and ecu's

haha my reasoning is mostly insurance cost... 535i insurance is higher than 530i.

why bother spend money swapping it??
it would probably need, new transmission, transmission shifter, new wiring harness, engine, new engine mount and more...

too much headache...

better to get used 550 or m5 honestly..
