1st Problem - Electronic Malfunction; got it resolved, next day 2nd Problem - Hit a deer; got it back friday; 3rd Problem - This morning - SERVICE ENGINE SOON Malfunction Lamp! so i checked my gac cap and i didnt screw it on all the way the night before from filling the car up! But then after securing the cap, stayed on the entire ride to work. Weird thing is that their is no error message on the I-Drive. Called my rep and she made me an appointment today and i dropped the car off and got a loaner. Hopefully this will be the last problem!! my 535 is a '08 with 1,900 miles!! i got a brand new 328i loaner. They plant ran out of loaner cars, so my rep gave me a '08 328i sedan which was another's employees car but they had gotten kicked outta the program!
Hopefully i shall get my car back thursday! with no more problems!

So when i got off i had to move all my "junk" and papers outta my 535 to my loaner and took pics.

I wonder if the E60 is hyper sensitive the the gas cap thing. They had to replace the filler neck purge valve to fix my engine light from coming on all the time, even though the cap was always tight. Another guys 535i wagon (not on this board) is now doing the same thing, and maybe now yours.

Got my car back today. My vehicle rep. said she thinks it was a bad sensor or something who knows. She then said she had some bad news, i ask what. Instead of her ordering me what i requested a 528i Deep Green/Natural Brown, she said that she got my order mixed up and ordered me a 528i Space Gray / Black. But she is gonna let me turn my current 535i early, whenever my next one arrives. Its okay, cause they are always messing up our cars, i just hope my next 5 doesn't have bad luck like this one!

Man, those plastic inset seatback compartments with the netting are hideous! Plus, anything you put in there will be plainly visible and look cluttered.

Yes, so do I. As far as I know, the backs of all e60 seats are constructed that way. The car in the photo to which I was referring is a 328. The inset plastic pocket area with the netting appears to be an afterthought rather than smooth and integrated like the e60. In my opinion it is unattractive in its design, and storing anything in it will be unsightly since it will show through the net. It's somewhat akin to the net my 530 has in the passenger's footwell, which also is a crappy excuse for a storage compartment on a luxury car.

I do have to say the wood trim and its placement in the cabin on the new 3ers looks very nice, especially on the console.
