Brecht is a good and trustworthy dealership. I've bought two BMW's from them and had them both serviced there. I have not heard any complaints from other people I know who have dealt with them. I'd guess that there might be some sort of communication issue here. They will work with you.

My Ride: 2008 535i: June 6th start build, complete June 17th, at NY Port July 5th, at dealer July 10th, took delivery Friday July 13- Plantimum Bronze/Natural Brown Leather/Light Poplar, Sport Package, Sport Auto, Active Steering, Premium Package, CWP & PDC. Dinan Performance Software 384hp & 421 ft/lbs.

ok,bmw replaced the fuel pump and updated the software,kept the car overnight to start the software up again and still getting the engine malfunction.they had to call bmw na themselves. so still no answer.

I would stick to getting this problem properly sorted out, and have some months of worry free driving under my belt first....then maybe, MAYBE look at some mods. You don't want anything making the picture any more cloudy than it is right now.
