Hey i know there is a little difference between the 0-100km/h and 0-60 miles/h but it is very little. Given the facts i know that the 535d makes 0-100km/h in 6.5 and the 545i in 5.8. In miles the times might be a little lower. Anyway i expect the remapped 535d would reach in 6 seconds or high 5ves. But i tould still consider the other times aswell as i mention before. Because i hardly doubt that even in a race it would only go to 100km/h. Anyway that's not my main interese. I speak more about the long trips at high speeds when the torque has alot to say when you suddenly hit the gas to overtake or to sprint. And that's mainly because you don't buy a 5 series for dragging. I mean yeah from time to time ... but this is not the main reason this car was built. I think it could be a real close battle considering from the other posts i read, when a 530i couldn't keep up with a remapped 525d
PS : Sharing with you a living proof what a "smart" chick can do with a powerfull bmw. Nice combination

i would agree it could (remapped 525d) could take an old 530 but i would be very suprised if it could get close to the 06'.... i dont know how accurate those times are either because i read a Road and Track article that tested the 545 (auto trany) at either 5.2 or 5.3...

My Ride: 535d Sport in Carbon Black / high gloss shadow line and beige leather / dark poplar with professional nav, bluetooth phone prep, CD changer, bi-xenon adaptive headlamps, servotronic steering, folding mirrors, heated comfort seats, TV, extended voice control and Logic 7 hifi.
Going from "being able to take" to "not get close to" suggests a leap in performance for the '06 530i - what are the old and new BMW figures?
