As I really like the sports kit, I am thinking about ordering one. I'm also thinking about remapping. I do not have HUD (as it wasn't available when I ordered) and I don't have TV. I quite fancy the Individual pack aswell, apart from the wheels, I think my 124's are nicer..
What do you experts think? Should I get my 530d updated or order a 535d Sport?
Considering it's almost full options I will take a big hit on depreciation I presume.

535d sport, but I can't give you an independent advice.

Have you testdriven the 535d yet? If not, give it a try.

I say pimp it. Your existing car will take a massive depreciation hit and i dont think it will be worth it. Remap your existing car and get the sport kit.

Someone wrote before that his remapped 530d was faster than a 535d but the 535d had better power delivery. By the way, does yours have a particle filter?

Unless you just have the new car bug or just not happy with your current set-up, I think you're better off staying with the 530d. The 535d is a beast, but I don't think the extra power is worth the loss youre bound to take on the 530d.

So in my opinion ... pimp it out

Not to mention there may be an update to the 535d coming in a year or two.

Get the 535d sport with the spec you require! thats what I did.
You can't put a price on E60 ownership.

IMHO the 535d is the ultimate E60 in terms of power v price.

That's the Euro 4 thing right? I do have that. Don't care too much for the HUD, would lke TV though..

Just got a price on the bodykit: Front, sides, rear, rear spoiler and numberplate thingie on trunk: GBP 2064 VAT incl. Not too bad I thought..
That and about 600-700 for the remap. Hmm, tempted indeed.

I'd say some recently posted 1/8 mile times would bring that into question. Despite the remapped 530d having higher *peak* power and torque than a standard 535d, the 535d still covered the 1/8 mile faster. However, it *was* close, so clearly remapping a 530d is a very worthwhile exercise!

Ahhh, but you can remap the 535d too of course.... ;-)

Fred, I'd keep your 530d to avoid the big hit you'll take. Consider the saving as money you didn't have and spend it on the remap - I'm sure a remapped 530d is a lot of fun

You're waiting for an M5, right Fred? In the meantime you can can pimp the 530d and enjoy it without taking a hit in your wallet.

If you think the M5 is going to take ages, go for a fully spec 535d.
