new 530d has maximum torque from 1750rpm. The 535d develops it from 2000rpm
"at 2000 rpm", not "from 2000" - which tells you little about what happens below. Best I could find was an anecdotal quote by BMW of "400 Nm almost from idling speed" for the 535d - which again does not say much.
Likelihood is - as max torque on the 535d is 560 Nm/2000 rpm and max torque is 500 Nm/1750 rpm - that 535d torques at least 500 Nm at 1750... if the small turbo works properly.
In dyno veritas, I suppose.

If you allow my being pedantic:

Stole my words !
Where are the 2 charts with hp/torque for the 535d and 530d (new engine)!?
Yes i'm willing to bet the same thing.

A little linear interpolation (which is never a wise thing, but it's all I can do!) between 400 Nm @800 (idle is 680) and 560 @ 2000 says 1750 is 527. I'm not betting against you. Stole enough this evening.

look at the yellow line .. around 450nm at 1750rpm for the 535d (blue line is after chiptuning)

Lateredit: Why did you brake torque so high? I found out that the best runs are around 1500rpm braketorque. All that's above results for me in a biiig spin.

at 800rpm the engine produces no more than 250nm
look at the yellow line .. around 450nm at 1750rpm for the 535d (blue line is after chiptuning)

However, the graphs also show the 530d torque peaking at 2000 rpm (not 1750) and both curves starting at 1400 at 350Nm; actually the 530 is slightly higher than the 535d until about 1800 rpm by 10-15 Nm - I traced them using a set square on the screen. Perhaps someone good at photoshop can produce a single overlapping graph?
It will be interesting to see what the new 535d (286 hp) engine's torque curve looks like, as now the advantage of the 535d seems to lie in easier breathing at high revs because of the large turbo, not in higher torque at low revs because of the smaller one.
