. . . AGAIN. That's twice now. I'm calling SPAM next time I see a 535i vs. 550i thread from PENNETTA.

I think that a new chapter will be written on a "tuned 535" VS a 550 race.................... and I'll bet $100 that the P man will start it .....................again !!

Yes. I think at this point all we care is about the result. How does the 535i feel after the upgrade. Is it worth the money.

I am flattered that you think I can control the weather and other peoples actions. I am usually not that impressive.

I actually enjoy these discussions, but after going through 7 pages looking for a video or results, I expected a little more. Oh well.
Worse is to see a daily update and think (hope? wish?) they finally raced. Only to find that we'll have to wait longer. The fricken F10 will be out before an E60 535i vs 550i race is actually run.

BUMP.

You're welcome. You know, some people have undiscovered talents. You, my friend, I think are good at marketing, something I lack.

I would like to have a race with a 535i tomorrow.

Problem is I don't know anyone with one.

I know, I'll make more friends.

Oh no, I just remembered that they don't sell the 535i in the UK.

Can I class that as a no show? If so can I say that I won? Imagine the headlines, "Diesel beats the mighty 535i".

On second thoughts this is all sh@t, instead I will watch my eldest son play football like I normally do on a Saturday morning.

Sorry guys, just my idea of humour...

Nice try, but Russ1974 beat you to the punch and I like his better:

"QUOTE (Russ1974 @ Jan 15 2008, 01:36 PM)
Guys, I thought you would be interested in hearing about a race I've got planned. I know somebody with a remapped Ferrari 360, and a friend of mine knows somebody with a stock Ferrari F430. All I have to do is convince my friend to lend me his car, get my other friend to ask his friend to meet up with me for a race, and then we are going to see which is fastest. We are going to aim for Tuesday, 20th September, 2011. Hopefully it won't rain, because as you all know, cars don't work when it's raining. Watch this space. I will post weekly updates from now until 20th Sept 2011 about the race."

I am afraid to give a review and awaken the whiners again...
As soon as I get it back I will of course post. Maybe after the weekend, the Active steering fault I was having turned out to be something significant and the parts were overnighted to the dealer today. With the ECU out to Dinan they can't do anything with the car, so it got queued to go after the AS fix. At least I have a loaner car, it's a 550. It feels like the front tires are low in air because the front end feels heavy and slow. (only kidding my V8 buddies)
While I am waiting I was looking at the Vishnu ProCeed website and the hp and torque claims seem the same and is $1300. I'm getting mine for $1750 so I guess what I'm additionally buying for $450 is the 4yr/50K warranty integrity.
I'm excited though.
