That's because you are probably more sensitive to looking for them. I know I am. The 550 is rare in comparison to the 535 and 528.

depends on where you live i guess. a lamborghini is rare upstate new york, where is a 87 ford F150 is common. go down to south beach, suddenly the 87 F150 is more rare then the lambo

which car to get really depends on what you want. the 535 will have a little better gas milage, and with under 1K in mods will smoke the 550 and even the M5 to about 100. if you are a non modder type of person, afraid to tinker with stuff like that and have the extra 7K for the 550, go for it. i wanted bang for the buck, i got the 535, with the idea that i may mod it. i really got my car for a steal. if it is up in the air, and you dont know what you want and it doesnt really make a difference, jump on either one if you see a killer deal

I need some serious help here. I can't decide on which model to get. I've found really good deals for both models, but was hoping to get opinions. Thanks in advance!
Love my 550i!

All,

Thanks for the responses, I've decided that I'm going to go with the 550. The 550 I'm looking at has all the extras I want (M-Tech, 172s, etc.) I wasn't planning on modding the vehicle, therefore, the 550 I'm going with is ready to go out the door. Again, thanks!

Congrats bro!! The 550 is an outstanding automobile -- smooth, powerful and beautiful looking.

Sounds very much like why I got the 550. My thought process was 550 vs M5. I came to the conclusion that there was just no way to get my wife to accept the bigger monthly payment.

Maybe, with a few more clients that are my own and not merely those of my firm.....I'll step up to the F10 M5 in 3 years when my lease expires. That what hopes and dreams and the motivation they inspire are about.

In reading this thred, I am having a lot of trouble believing that, absent some killer mod like a supercharger, a chipped or even heavily modded 535 can keep up with the 500 bhp stock M5. But I freely admit that I am not knowledgable about modding.

All this talk about the JB3 chip, but where do you go about buying it? I just Googled it and all I got were the gains from using it. Great. But do you lose a nut paying for one? I heard it was cheaper than a Dinan Stage 2, but that's $2000. What is this, $1983.32?
