Hey guys I just picked up an 06 530xi yesterday and I'm pretty excited about the car! Not too much of a fan of the wheels it brings so I was wondering if staggered rims could be used on this car? I've been told it cant be done because of the awd and it may cause problems tothe transfer case etc. I'd really like to put m5 rims on my car but I'm not sure if it can be done. I'd appreciate as much info on this topic as possible.... THANKS!

PS. I already did a search and didnt really come up with anything.

i've seen other xi bmws with staggered wheels (335) so i dont see why you couldnt do it on the 5 series. Check with the wheel retailers you get the wheels from!

Does anyone know if I can fit the m5 rims on my car? If not what are the dimensions of the rims that I can use? Thanks for your help guys!

I believe the offsets won't work for your car. You may to consider replicas to get the M5 wheel look on your car. Calton (C's Bimmer) has extensive knowledge and experience with the xi.

Of course you can do staggered....lots of xi dudes on here have and are. You will have ZERO issues with the x-drive as a result. In fact, BMW offers a staggered setup for the xi, using 124-style rims.

I had CSL staggered rims on my old xi, and so did some other folks on here. You just need to make sure that the offsets are correct.....around ET40 in front and ET45 in the rear using 245 and 275 width tires, front to back.

No RWD BMW wheels will fit your xi, therefore if you want 19's, you must go aftermarket. Check out Miro and Velocity Motoring (VMR) rims.

Do yourself a favor and drop a line to C's Bimmer - I recall he did quite a bit of work on his XI - including wheels and suspension.

Happy to help, so let me know if you have any questions. Also, if you're attending the 9/20 Bear Mtn Meet, you will see my car there. The new owner, for whom I sold it to, will be there. I sold him the car with every mod I ever put into that bad boy, so you can see for yourself how the staggered wheels look, as well as, the suspension.

Happy to answer any other questions you may have.
