Not so bad now that I see it from side view. I guessa bit larger wheel will close the gap just a bit, but regardless it still looks great! Not worried anymore.

i didn't notice until it was brought up here. i would like to park it next to a 530i and compare. the dealer did say that the wheels looked a bit different than the 138 on a 530i, but i am not sure how
have to wash it several times a day here now or it gets all covered in a yellow powder! from pine trees, i think.
my first impression of sirius is so-so. just more bad radio stations than regular.
by the way, i have been able to play mp3 cds i made from my computer on the center cd drive i do not have nav

Those comparisons look pretty close. I have the 18s on mine and I will get a photo next to a 530i as soon as I take delivery (which should be pretty soon since it hit SC on 6/1). Ill keep everyone posted.

I just got back from the dealership where my car was delivered this morning (unfortunately it will Wednesday before I get to take delivery). I did not have time to stop home for my camera but I made the following observations:
Even with the 18" wheels and Sport Package, the car sits about an inch higher than a Non-Sport Packaged 525i (which is reflected in the tire/fender gap).
The 18" wheels help fill the space better than the stock wheels do.
The 530xi sits higher than my 330xi.
I will post pics on Wednesday.

Here are some pics of my car, a 2006 530xi with Sport Package and 18" Wheels. I have to go back to the dealership tomorrow so I will take some pics next to a stock 530i.

My Ride: 2006 530xi ED 7/1/2005. Silver Grey, Black Leather, Premium Package, Cold Weather, Sport, Logic 7, 18'' style 123 rims.
I will be picking up 530 xi by ED over July 4 weekend, and am interested in this topic. I contacted my local sales assoc., who assures me that there should be no height difference of e60 vehicles unless you compare true sport suspension of 530i vs. non sport suspension. There are however obvious differences due to wheel/rim combos.
I certainly have seen thoughts on this that are all over the map.
