530xi....not until fall?
#11
hold your fire ladies/gentlemen, the 530xi is a few blocks away, it will be here very soon. (a little bird told me)
anyone got a key to bmw warehouse for a 'peep'?....
the 4 wheel (x drive) system on the e60 5 series serves a different purpose then on its sibling x5.
the former is there to improve handling/performance in a street/normal road situation (cornering / take off on wet-slippery roads etc) whereas the latter is designed for rugged terrian / heavy snow/ mud and towing ability.
the is due to the center of gravity/ balance and torque characteristics of either machines.
i personally prefer the e60 than the x5 truck, but all to each's own.

Why do I keep hearing people refer to SUVs as trucks? Last time I checked trucks had a open bed. Tundra is a truck F150 is a truck. Tocoma is a pick up truck. (tiny truck) X5 is a SAV or SUV...
What am I missing? is it based on a truck platform? is it not "SUV-able" like the Mercedes G-class or H1? is that why?
