I just did a trip from Pittsburgh to Cleveland yesterday in my '06 530xi. 300 miles round trip all highway except for about 20 miles local roads. Wheels OEM style 138 with Yokohama Avid Ascend tires 225/50/17. I set the cruise at 79 which gave me 77.5 actual speed per GPS. There were a few slowdowns for turnpike construction. End result was 28.6 mpg which I thought was pretty damn good! My '05 330i never got more than about 26 on the highway with the M54 motor. I think I could probably get 30 mpg if I went 70 mph ( not happening, hehe ) .

 

Probably even more @ 55.

 

so the first occasion when I drove my vehicle I drove it to oklahoma averaging about 75mph and got 29mpg. amazing! city not very great. I did around 70 miles on the expressway and afterward the remainder of the tank was city and I got 19mpg. presently this time around is 100% city and i'm 225 miles in and the idrive is stating I have 75 miles left on the tank, and the normal mpg is stating 16.2. (300/18.5 = 16.2) along these lines, I don't generally have the foggiest idea what's happening.
