I have mine on order for first allocation. I believe the first public consumption models will start being built early in May. I was told I would have mine in June (as soon as any normal US citizen can get their hands on one).

To answer your question, I have not yet had the joy of driving a 530xi.

Do anyone has the spec for the Xi? I've a friend w/ a 330xi, and I'd always took his car for a ride. I've found that the car has a very different charateristics from the regular 330i, I do not want to say if it is faster or slower, but the responsivness and the ride from the xi is quite different from the i.

I saw a program this morning on one of the public access channels (i think PBS)here in California that was demonstrating the e60 on ice and snow. I wish I knew what it was or when it was on again, because I was only able to catch the last 15 minutes or so. It was on around 6:45 am. It was very cool. they were doing slalom style manuevers on ice and snow at fair amount of speed with an "unexperienced driver."
