guys , can some of you talk about the performance differences between these two..

for example,

the 530i has a porsche-like 49/51 balance whereas teh 545i has a 50/50 balance with driver. Which one actually steers better?

Also, is the accerelation in the 530 too average that , the extra 100 hp from the v8 is definetly worth the price difference..

Any major perference one over the other or is the 530i good enough ??

I prefer 545/550i. More power is always better

I've heard from people who've owned the 530 and the 545/550 say that you can feel the heavy-ness of the V8 compared to the I6, so in hard corners or hard driving you can tell the difference. But I think the extra 100hp makes up for the 100lbs. I would go for the V8.

depends...is 0-60 in 6.5 sec good enough for you? or do you need 5.5 sec?

not 911's. they're rear engined so they're more like 30/60.
Where did the other 10% go? Is that why they're so fast???

ive driven both and the 530 has a much lighter feel, better handling IMO ...but the power diff is noticed quite easily. toss up buy the 530 and SC it.

There's really very little difference in handling between the two. If there is any handling advantage to the 530 it's relatively minor and is at the edges. The difference in power however is always noticeable under all driving conditions.
