Well...The bodywork is done, the codes re-set and I thought I was done. But....When I bought the car I found that the Sirius radio module had been removed from the trunk. No problem, I found one on eBay that was the right parts number and came with a free year of service.

I got the car home and went to install the unit. I found that one of the plugs was missing and two cut wires were left. I then discovered that the voice command system was not working. Long and short of it is that when they removed the unit and cut the wires they also removed two fiber optic wires.

The local BMW dealer has the car right now and I should get it back tomorrow. I?ll post some photos and my final cost when I am done. This was not one of my most cost saving projects.

I did drive the car for a day before it went to the dealer. Going from an Audi S4 to the 530I was a change. I think it will be a great car. However, after lurking here for some time I would like to have a fully loaded 550I. Perhaps I'll keep this one for 3 or 4 years then go that route.
