530i Performance Question

The power in the 530i isn't bad at all guys. It's just perfect for a nice drive around town. In fact if you live in a crowded city like San Francisco there's no real advantage of the 550i over the 530i, let alone an ///M5. The balancing on the 530i is much better than the 550i because of the massive V8 in the front end. The 530i should handle better as well. I think a majority of the people who get the ///M5 and drive them around here is nuts and almost a waste of money. But when you have money like that it doesn't matter, it's just bigger balls to show off really. But then again, I wouldn't mind getting an ///M5

The weight distribution on the 550 and 530 is virtually identical - both are very close to 51/49. It's a myth that the 550 is nose heavy because of the V8. The 550 is heavier, but the weight distribution is where it needs to be - with the upgraded suspension/brakes, the 550 is as well balanced as any other E60. Under cornering, the 550 sport pulls about the same lateral-G as the 530 sport - again, there is virtually no difference.
