Can I be excused for that fopar too Does that mean they will be cheaper to replace

That be why it has a spare wheel then
Non-runflats are cheaper, but 19" tyres aren't exactly a bargain The rears will be at least ?230 each! (Fronts at least ?200) I recommend the Michelin PS2's but they're about ?20 more...

Nice look forward to that then!!!!! Lucky it only has 3k on the clock should get a couple more miles out of them. I thought they were run flat as here it says here Performance Run Flat, but equally was suprised it had a spare wheel http://www.e60.net/information/options/wheels/style172/

Oooohhhh, that page is wrong! They have Continental Sport Contact 2's (Same as M5!!!) - when you specify that 19" option the spare comes with it - try it on the configurator on the UK website...

At the time of introduction they're wasn't a 19" run-flat tyre of those dimensions available... However, Dunlop have just introduced them! Now, the Dunlop DSST's are truly awful - you may of noticed some posts about them, especially in the US where dealers are replacing them for free! (For yet more Dunlops...)

I'm hoping that BMW doesn't start fitting them when I get my updated 535d

Indeed she was wearing Continental's how cool I am quite chuffed about that.

Yes I saw else where they were being replaced and people were not liking them.

Could you not make CSC2's a condition of purchase for the 535d?

530D all the way for me! Having owned a 218hp 530d and now a 535d I don't think you can't beat the low down kick in the pants performance from either. I'm sure the petrol E60s are great cars but I personally would never go back to petrol. For all everyday driving senario's diesel is the way ahead.

Merv have you tried a petrol? I personally haven't but I wouldn't mind having a go... The 540i looks interesting but the predicted residuals are depressing!

I would be more tempted by the 535d than the other Diesels I think that is technically the way to go, but as I didn't have the budget for a 535d, I am more than happy with the 530i maybe by the time I change the 2007 model 535d will be out.

Same here; went from an e46 M3 to a 530da - At first I thought I'd be disappointed with the performance, but where it matters most (40-100 mph for me) this car is astounding, and performs without any fuss at all. Talk about stealthy cruise missile! Also 450 miles to a tank of diesel (as opposed to 200 miles for a tank of optimax) helps my wallet

My only regret is that I didn't hold out for a 535d, next time though

So i didn't miss too much by not choosing the m3. I wanted the m3 first.. also didn't test drive an m3 to tell how it performs next to my 535d in traffic.

Two different beasts, but I prefer my 530d. The M3 was a pig in traffic (heavy clutch and gearchange), but I guess that's to be expected of this type of car.

I was considering an M3 smg competition package. At the same money as my 535d with those options. In a way for sure i was gonna feel bad because of the new e90 m3 comming up and it's v8. )
