On my 2005 530i we get 25 mph overall. 50/50 hwy. I've seen 32 pure hwy. The mileage slowly dropped as the thermostat failed at about 70k.

Hooker or no hooker in the trunk, no matter what I do, my I-Drive is telling me I am getting 18 miles per gallon. I gave up thinking or hoping for better MPG a long time ago.


Mine is a 2006 530i (N52 Engine).

On my '07 530i, I only avg about 17-18mpg (mostly city) with very conservative driving, no hard acceleration & braking.

My '04 530i SMG has just under 30k & I'm seeing 24.5 mixed this time of year. 'Winter gas' has additives in it that cause mileage to drop slightly, and the longer warm-up times cause it to drop a bit too. Normally, I'm 27 mixed (I use the term loosely because I live in a rural area and do very little stop & go driving) and 31mpg on the highway if I keep it at or below 75mph.

I had 16.4 - 16.6 in my 7 E60 530i. Mostly city drive though.

Really that low? I average 21 mph in my 550i driving about 50/50

I average 22.1 on my 545.

That hooker in the trunk is upsetting your weight distribution. you need to strap another hooker to the hood to balance things out. The lesson to be learned here is that any problem can be solved with hookers.
