My Ride: 535D Sport Auto
My 530d's tickover has always seemed high. The revcounter only shows 700rpm, however the engine note sounds fast and quite noisy.
Anyone else's like this?

My rev counter varied up and down at idle and at 100 rpm until the instrument cluster was changed. Now it sounds OK.
You can get into the hidden mneu system and get a digital readout of the revs if you believe that your counter is not showing the revs correctly.
